Lisa Brockman, author of Out of Zion, is a six-generation Mormon whose journey took her from the faith of her Mormon ancestors to her conversion to Christianity. A friend’s simple question set her on that journey: “Lisa, how do you know the church is true?” Her initial reaction was to attempt to convert her friend, but he set out to introduce her to a Jesus she had never met. As she studied the Bible, she discovered a God that embodied love. Lisa came to realize she was powerless to save herself and needed a Savior who could offer her eternal life.

Do you need grace? Do you want to thrive in God — especially in your prayer life? Prayer, combined with grace, is a gift from God that enables breakthroughs. Embracing the Adventure of Doing Business With God — Charisma Magazine

For decades, leaders of the faith and work movement have encouraged and equipped followers of Christ to integrate their faith into their work lives and see their work as significant to God’s purposes for the world. A significant number of Christians in business have the hearts and mindsets to no longer separate their work lives from their spiritual lives. They are committed to doing business “as unto the Lord,” as the apostle Paul encourages in Colossians 3:23.

However, the invitation that lies before every business leader is greater than many realize — it’s an invitation to not only do business for the glory of God, but to do business with the presence of God and through the leading of the Holy Spirit. Embracing this perspective changes everything and propels you into an adventure that will ultimately unlock God’s best for you and your sphere of influence in the marketplace.

Shae Bynes, co-founder of Kingdom Driven Entrepreneur and author of Grace Over Grind: How Grace Will Take Your Business Where Grinding Can’t, shares candidly from her own life about the tension and beauty of taking risks as we grow in intimacy with God and explore the fullness of His heart for our lives and businesses.

Listen to this episode of The Kingdom Driven Entrepreneur podcast to hear how encountering God and accepting the invitation to do business with Him changed everything for Shae, and led to a global movement that is inspiring hundreds of thousands to do the same.Torch1

[ad_1]

(Pixabay)

We’ve been digging into the many tasks the Holy Spirit accomplishes. Prayerfully, this is a most welcomed reminder and a great blessing of God’s presence on this earth. The Holy Spirit is the ultimate best friend to believers. God doesn’t want us simply saved, then waiting until we go home to heaven. God wants a daily relationship with us!

So far we’ve covered the tasks of convicting us of sin and creating and regenerating the new believer. These are the tasks we’re going to dig into in the upcoming weeks:

— Sealing you for salvation.

— Reminding you of your salvation.

— Conducting daily life with Christ-like character.

Does this stir your spirit? I hope it does! Don’t miss an episode in this series of Loved Always.

We have been diving into sharing Jesus with those around us as well as growing with the Lord. We are working from my two books, Heaven Bound and Walking The Talk . You can read along and listen to my recent episode of Loved Always on Charisma Podcast Network. My website, lovedalways.net, has links to purchase each book. Bring along your Bible as it is the foundation for any book I write to help believers. There are countless Scripture references in these books. We will only be able to touch the surface within this framework.

I would like to make sure you have great resources that help you in your journey with the great God we love, serve and worship. Need a tool for group Bible study or new members at your church? Yes, both books are great resources for that too!

As believers, we get the privilege and opportunity to make Jesus famous. Will you join me? The website now has a donation link. I would also invite you to sow into this ministry and partner with me as I continue to share Jesus within every avenue God opens to me. Your prayers and support are always most appreciated.

7 Signs You Need Deliverance — Charisma Magazine

[ad_1]

Warfare Adobe
(Adobe Stock Image/Kevin Carden)

I’m pretty sure that I’m not the only one who wondered if I needed deliverance. When you’re experiencing pressures that are beyond what you can handle, your reactions aren’t always … pure and holy (to say the least).

Are You Possessed or Oppressed?

Acts 10:38 (NKJV) says, “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”

There is a huge difference between being oppressed and being possessed. If you look in the Strong’s Concordance for the word “oppression,” you will learn that it is someone exerting harsh control over you. This is very different to passages that speak of demon possession where the person is controlled by the demon against their will.

Get Spirit-filled content delivered right to your inbox! Click here to subscribe to our newsletter.

So just because you had a bout of road rage or posted a rant on Facebook doesn’t mean you’re possessed by a demon! What it means is that the enemy is out to get you! He’s exerting pressures on you that are meant to rattle you. He wants nothing more than to make you stumble.

For those taking notes for your own study, let me make it clear for you.

Demonic Oppression: Demonic oppression is the enemy exerting a force on you from without. The purpose is to trip you up and get you to sin.

Demonic Possession: Demonic possession is when a demon has been given residence in your soul to take control over your mind, emotions and will.

So then, how do you know if you are possessed? Well, that is what Craig and I took time to share in our podcast, How to Know if You Need Deliverance. I don’t want to leave you hanging though. So, let me conclude with seven clear signs for you to tick off. Do you see three or more of these signs in your life (or in others)? Then it’s very possible you need deliverance!

7 Signs You Need Deliverance:

Sign 1: You physically battle demons when you’re asleep or awake.

Sign 2: You are often visited by angels that are surrounded by bright lights and hide their face from you.

Sign 3: You cannot recall hours or sometimes days. You seem to black out. (I’m not referring to memory loss but rather to often experiencing seasons where you “snap out” of an episode, not remembering anything you did.)

Sign 4: You experience physical manifestations that you cannot control. (Shaking, rolling, screaming … Being that you are reading this in a charismatic magazine, I’m guessing you know what I mean when I refer to obvious demonic manifestations!)

Sign 5: You have vivid visions or dreams of terrible things happening, and they come to pass. (This also falls into the category of divination!)

Sign 6: You battle with uncontrollable anger. The kind where you lose control, damage property or hurt others.

Sign 7: You lie uncontrollably. This is usually accompanied with not remembering that you lied. Being that the enemy is the father of lies, I recognize that someone who’s possessed often lies uncontrollably.

Like I said, if you recognize three or more of these signs, then ministry is required! First, please go and listen to our podcast episode of Next Gen Prophets on Charisma Podcast Network called How to Know if You Need Deliverance to get clarity. Then, reach out for counsel! There is no shame in admitting you need help. We’re a body, and it’s time we take back the land Satan has stolen in our lives. Torch1

How Shall We Live in the Season of His Return? — Charisma Magazine

[ad_1]

Bible Priscilla Du Preez Unsplash
(Unsplash)

Wake up, for the King is coming! It’s hard not to recognize that His time has come.

In Matthew 24:32-34, Jesus says, “The fig tree, its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.”

The King gave you all the signs to know when His season would start. How can you not be ready? Have you not prepared for His return?

Israel was born in a day. Jerusalem is no longer trampled by the Gentiles. The global signs of His return are told across the world news and internet on a daily basis. He has sent one sign after another. You should know that His summer has come.

Get Spirit-filled content delivered right to your inbox! Click here to subscribe to our newsletter.

Thus Jesus introduces His five parables to teach us how to be about our Father’s business in this special moment in time. We are to be active and ready, busy preparing the way so we will not be like the Gentiles caught unaware that the King has come.

This opens the door to the parable as in the days of Noah, where Jesus tells us to get our house in order, so we will be ready for when He comes in the clouds of glory with His angels.

We are not to be like the Noah generation; so consumed with the things of this world, they were not about the purposes of God and refused to believe that judgment was coming.

Far too many, at least half of the Gentiles and Jews, will have their lives fixed on the temporary pleasures of this world. They will be unprepared for the next age to come.

We are to watch and be ready lest the thief break into our houses. Who is the thief that comes to steal, rob and destroy, but Satan and his demons. They are entering our households through the internet, books, television, movies, music by false prophets and false teachers indoctrinating us into secular humanism and the philosophies and false religions of men and demons.

We need to be engaged in spiritual warfare, doing battle daily for the souls of our family and friends. We need to know the ways of God in His Word and revelation knowledge of the Spirit to combat the deception of this age that Jesus warned of earlier in the chapter.

Matthew 24:44 says, “Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” Are you ready? Are you actively watching and prepared, or are you passively asleep at the mercy of Satan and his host of wicked ones?

The season of His coming is upon us. Your eternal destiny and those of your loved ones depends on getting into the game and giving Jesus all you have to give in the war for the salvation of souls.

The third parable teaches who is faithful and wise, who is living an obedient life that is always ready for the return of the Master as opposed to the evil servant who is in the house of God but not prepared for his Master to come.

Noah’s time concerned the Gentiles. Now Jesus focuses on the religious saved and unsaved living in the Master’s house. The wheat and the tares as we know in His other parable in Matthew 13:24-30.

The faithful and wise servants are feeding their Master’s household with food, spiritual food, that will make His servants ready for the arrival of their Master. While the evil servant lives a selfish life, has no regard for the lives of his fellow servants but is consumed with the wicked ways of this world.

He will suffer the judgment of his Master and will be banished from the eternal reward that the faithful servant received. We are to know our Master’s heart and commands, so we can faithfully fulfill His vision for our day.

Jesus will give us the Holy Spirit with dreams and visions for how we should be about the Master’s business. I do not want my dreams and vision for living. I want Jesus and His vision and dreams for my life to build His kingdom. My dreams are built on sand, but His rest on the rock of salvation and will endure the storms of life.

Jesus teaches in these three parables how we should live in this season: know, act and obey. Know His time of His return. Actively watch and be ready as we fight the good fight of faith by making disciples and building His kingdom. Out of love for our Master, obey His commands with the wisdom of revelation knowledge that He has given us by His Spirit. Put aside our selfish desires to deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Jesus. You will be ready!

Author’s Note: The Presence of God lives in us. The Word tells us the Holy Spirit comes into our lives the moment we are born again. We also know that the Father and Son abide in us as they have made Their home in us. This life we have in Jesus is a glorious one. We are being changed from one degree of glory to another to be like Jesus. We hunger for less of us and more of God to fill us completely. There are also moments when God’s presence fills the atmosphere where we worship as our Lord did when Solomon dedicated the temple or when Isaiah saw Jesus, the Lord of Hosts, in the temple, or when the Holy Spirit was poured out in Cornelius’ house in the book of Acts. When God acts in His glory, lives are transformed to live for His purposes and plans to redeem the world.

We have set our hearts on God to come in His glory at our “Hosting His Presence” event on Sept. 9-12. We do not want only an encounter with God but for Him to remain, so it is not just a visitation but a habitation that draws us daily to Himself. This glory moment will inspire us with dreams and visions to go into the world as Jesus sent His apostles and disciples to the nations of the earth. Begin praying now for this Holy Spirit gathering, that Jesus will be exalted, and we will see a nation transformed for Jesus.

Our gathering is free. You can register at eventbrite.com. Torch1

Playing With the Dark Side — Charisma Magazine

[ad_1]

If you visit a psychic, engage in tarot card readings, dive into horoscopes or play dark games, you are playing with the dark side. These things may seem harmless and enjoyable, but you are actually inviting the presence of demonic spirits into your life when you participate in these activities. In fact, you give them permission to invade and influence your mind, your relationships and your home.

Hosea 4:6 says, “My people perish for a lack of knowledge.”

Ignorance and willful disobedience bring suffering. God is endeavoring to protect you from harm, but you also have to make wise choices. You can’t go on blaming immaturity or a lack of understanding for your bad decisions. The Bible is filled with warnings and insights to guide your life and keep you from needless spiritual attacks.

What do you do if you have played with the dark side, even unknowingly?

Get Spirit-filled content delivered right to your inbox! Click here to subscribe to our newsletter.

First, get rid of any ungodly items in your home now. Remove any objects, books, games, tokens or decor that hold an unbiblical value. If you are experiencing nightmares and demonic manifestations in your home, you most likely have invited the presence of demons into your life. Start with getting rid of the physical things you have acquired right away.

In Acts 19, many of those who believed in Jesus Christ came and openly confessed their evil deeds. The ones who had practiced sorcery brought their scrolls together and burned them publicly. In other words, they destroyed and removed the occult objects from their lives.

Ignorance does not absolve us from the guilt of our sins, but we can repent and obtain mercy! Repentance from the heart and changing your ways shuts the door on the devil. Repentance is the first step you must take spiritually to be freed from any unwanted demonic presence in your life.

After you have repented, asked God’s forgiveness and removed the evil from your life, don’t allow the enemy to continue to condemn you. You must tell the enemy, with your own mouth, “Go! Leave me and my house in Jesus’ name!” All authority to resist the enemy is in the name of Jesus. Jesus paid an extreme price for us to exercise this God-given authority.

Make new choices today! Move forward with God. Spend time renewing your mind with the Bible. Pray and ask for continued discernment and awareness. You are a child of the Most High. Follow Jesus and don’t look back or fall into old habits or the devil’s traps. Torch1

What to Do in the Waiting — Charisma Magazine

[ad_1]

Waiting Mindspace Studio Unsplash

One of the most trying times we can go through as Christians, I believe, is when we’re in a season of waiting upon God.

We’ve prayed; we’ve done all we know to do in the natural to help bring our prayer to fruition; we’ve planted seeds of our faith; yet our dreams and desires are still sitting on the shelf.

Why, Lord? What is next? How do I maintain a right relationship with You and stay in faith until I see Your answer come to pass?

We’ve all asked those same questions. What do we do as we’re waiting on God’s perfect timing in our lives? The writer encourages us from the Word of God in Hebrews 6:11-12: “We desire that every one of you show the same diligence for the full assurance of hope to the end, so that you may not be lazy, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”

If you or a family member is in the midst of a waiting period and have become discouraged in your faith, my recent podcast with pastor and author Lisa Osteen Comes has some encouragement for you! She gives a brief outline of how she overcame her own personal struggles with sickness, an unwanted divorce and even having a pipe bomb explode in her lap!

A few of the biblical tips Lisa shares include:

— How to learn to take hold of God’s promises in His Word and to rely on His impeccable timing.

— How to recognize a spirit of depression, discouragement and fear when it first comes upon us, and why we must not allow it to attach itself to us.

— Why faith and obedience to God’s Word and “doing it right the first time” are so crucial to receiving God’s highest and best for our lives.

— The importance of encouraging yourself in the Lord while waiting on your breakthrough.

The emotions we feel during times of waiting upon the Lord are common to us all, but they do not originate from God. His Word says in Galatians 6:9, “And let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not give up.” And in John 16:33, we’re reminded that in Him, we can have peace and be overcomers, for He has already overcome the world.

I hope you’ll join me for this uplifting and hope-producing podcast with Lisa Osteen Comes and receive all the great insight she has to offer on waiting for your dreams to become reality or for your prayers to be answered.

What Is the Great Commission? — Charisma Magazine

[ad_1]

Conversations Priscilla Du Preez Unsplash
(Unsplash)

Have you heard the term “The Great Commission”? It’s a term that has been used fairly recently in church history, and it’s often equated to missions. If you’re like most U.S. churchgoers, according to Barna Research, you may not know the term or be able to recall what it means. That’s OK; I’ve got your back. Here are the verses that contain what’s known as The Great Commission: Matthew 28:19-20.

When I first read these verses, I thought they were a special calling for super-Christian missionaries to go overseas to share the gospel. I didn’t think it meant I should share my faith here. (In my defense, when I was a kid, 93% of Americans identified as Christian.) Then the world changed. And I didn’t notice the mosques, gurdwaras, stupas and temples multiplying in small towns and big cities across North America. The mainstream churches I attended never talked about reaching these new neighbors of other faiths for Jesus here. There were no classes for how to share my faith with people of other faiths and cultures. Life in my suburban Christian bubble was filled to the brim with raising a family, growing my career and volunteering. I never noticed the growing number of people from other faiths and cultures around me. And it never occurred to me to intentionally seek them out or to share the good news of Jesus.

It crushes me now to realize that in one generation, the percentage of Americans who identify as Christian in America has slid dramatically from 93% to 65%, per Pew Research. Where I live now in the buckle of America’s Bible-belt, just 48% identify as Christian. There are eight nations represented in my cul-de-sac alone. It’s ironic. We are free to share our faith here, yet most Christians aren’t, and Christianity is declining fast. Meanwhile, in parts of the world where you can be killed for sharing your faith, such as China and Iran, Christianity is growing fast.

This is a wake-up call for our generation. If the trajectory of Christianity’s decline and Islam’s growth continues unchecked, Muslims are projected to outnumber Christians within just a few generations in Europe, Canada and even here in America. This is a problem. Christians and Muslims alike who live in modern-day Islamic-ruled nations lack religious freedoms and face extreme difficulties. I don’t want this kind of a life for my children’s children. Do you?

Jesus called us to be His witnesses and tell non-believers in our suburbs, our nations and the world the Good News (see Acts 1:8). If we believe what the Bible plainly declares—that our sovereign God is calling a great multitude of people to be His own—we must also embrace the wonderful, breathtaking privilege to proclaim the hope of Jesus so that “all the earth will be filled with the glory of the Lord” (Num. 14:21, AMP).

So what holds you back? Here’s what held Paige back: distractions. She grew up in the church yet struggled to understand the heart of God. She knew she should love her new neighbors from other faiths and cultures yet wrested with insecurities. Then she discovered two simple things that put everything into place. Now she’s experiencing more joy and adventure living as an authentic Christian witness than she ever imagined. You can have this too. Paige’s story will inspire and embolden you to see yourself in God’s story right now. Listen to this podcast episode of iHOPE Empowers on Charisma Podcast Network here. Torch1

How We Should Live in This Season of Jesus’ Return — Charisma Magazine

[ad_1]

Ring The Bell
(Pixabay)

The arrival of the global community introduces the season of Jesus’ return. As Jesus gives us these signs of His Second Coming in Matthew 24, He then teaches us how we should live in this season. He begins with the parable of the fig tree in which He emphasizes that His followers should know when they have entered into the time of His return. It is obvious and clear He expects us to be aware the season has begun.

The next parable instructs us that we should be alert and watchful, looking for Him to come again and not be like those who were unaware as in the days of Noah. The third parable teaches us the difference between the wise and faithful servant as opposed to the evil servant in the Master’s house.

The fourth parable contrasts the wise virgins and the foolish virgins in who will be welcomed into His wedding feast from those who will be shut out. The last parable inspires us as to how we are to use our God-given resources to prepare the way for our coming deliverer.

In the next articles we examine more closely what these parables mean for us.

Jesus then completes His prophetic teachings with His judgment of the nations. He divides them into the sheep and goat nations. Those who have obeyed His command to minister to the least of these contrast against the nations who have failed to help those in need. This judgment is also tied to whether the nation has blessed or cursed Israel.

All of these prophetic words we will glean in depth as to how we should live in this season of Jesus’ return to prepare the way for our King to come. As the old hymn says,

O the King is coming
The King is coming
I just heard the trumpets sounding
And now His face I see
O the King is coming
The King is coming
Praise God, He’s coming for me

When I was in Zambia several years ago, we were holding crusades across the northwest part of the nation as well as planting churches. We left Chief Kanyama and his kingdom full of fire and faith as we witnessed numerous miracles and prophecies come forth from heaven. We traveled to our last town called Kabompo, a beautiful village on the magnificent Kabompo River full of crocodiles and hippos.

I was exhausted from several weeks of preaching and ministering with our team. I lost my voice, but every time I went to preach it came back to life. God continued to do miracles and save souls and baptize many in the Holy Spirit.

Since there was no power in the newly constructed but half-finished church, we held our final service in the daylight of the late afternoon. Before the service I was extremely blessed to see one of the elderly ladies sweeping the church.

When we first arrived and were greeted by the people, I remembered that she had been hunched over and in great pain. Yet now she looked like a teenager full of joy and spry as a young woman.

I was amazed at her sparkling countenance, so I asked her what happened? With a broad smile as wide as the Kabompo River, she said Jesus healed me, and she began to dance. What joy filled our service that day!

Many came forward to repent of the double lives they were living to give their full surrender to live for Jesus. Many others were healed and even more baptized in the Holy Spirit.

When it ended, I was so tired I had no more to give. Then the leader stood up and said the presence and power of God had been so evident they needed to hold one more service that evening in the dark.

He looked at me for affirmation. My flesh said no, but the Spirit said yes. We would hold one more service before we would head home.

That night God continued to move to transform lives for Jesus. His light drove away the darkness. By the end of the ministry time we saw so many more miracles of life come forth from the hand of God I knew it was well worth holding another time of worship. Now I could go to our little room to rest for the night.

I was so spent all I wanted to do was sleep. As soon as my head hit the pillow within the mosquito netting I was out.

Before sunrise, I was still asleep, when suddenly someone started ringing the village bell that woke me up. It had not rung all week. Now someone was ringing it, and he would not stop, as though it was his job to awaken the entire village.

I pleaded with God to make him stop, but he kept on ringing and ringing. I cried out, “Please cease ringing the bell,” but he went about his task as though his life depended on it.

I just wanted to go back to sleep. Then the Spirit spoke clearly to me that He wanted me to hear this bell and be awakened. For I was just like His church wanting to stay comfortably asleep while His Son prepared to return. He commanded me to ring the bell to awaken His people and to awaken the nations, sharing with them that Jesus was coming.

From that time forward I have shared that message across the globe to hungry men and women who stood on pews and shouted, “I will ring the bell! I will ring the bell! Wake up; Jesus is coming!”

Will you join us to ring the bell, announcing the King is coming?

God’s Call for Faithful Stewards — Charisma Magazine

There are key strategic endeavors to be accomplished for every season, brought forth by God to crank the engine that drives and directs our movement on the journey of ascension to Christ the head and the completion of His divine plan. Paul declared in Colossians 1:25 that he became “a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God.”

The word “stewardship” in Greek is oikonomia. It is a word related to the stewardship and management of God’s economy. Paul’s was a stewardship from God—a work assigned to him for the people of God, to fulfill the will and Word of God. It was a stewardship led by the Holy Spirit, backed by heaven, and administered in union with angels. His ministry began in a meeting of the apostles and prophets. As they were fasting and ministering to the Lord, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them” (Acts 13:2).

God’s strategy for taking the gospel out to the nations was about to begin through Paul and Barnabas—their sending and ministry were key to God’s plan for that era. For the apostles and all the leaders called forth for that time, it was a plan that required their stewardship—the responsibility was theirs to get the job done in the power of the Holy Spirit, working with them and through them.

For those chosen to be born and live in these fullness of times—in the day of His power, the call to ministry is to the high call of stewarding and administering the life of Christ with a greater level of power and authority.

The Stewardship of Biblical Leaders

Let’s have a look at this stewardship in relation to leaders in the Bible. Throughout the Bible, there is great body of evidence of the many great leaders and saints who lived out the principle that God raises up certain people and prepares and equips them to administer His blueprint for their times.

Moses, Aaron, Miriam and the leaders of the tribes were mandated to oversee the massive responsibility of moving millions of people out of captivity on a 40-year journey that led them to the gates of the promised land (Mic. 6:4).

Once Moses said yes to God and entered into an agreement with Him for His plan to come forth, he did not capitulate. Moses stayed faithful until the end; he completed his task to bear witness or give evidence to God’s unfolding plan.

“Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house,” bearing witness to what would be spoken by God in the future (Heb. 3:5).

Joshua was one of God’s greatest leaders, raised up to cause the people of God to conquer and possess the promised land. Joshua never wavered in his devotion and was faithful to all God had called him to accomplish. See Joshua 24:31 is a demonstration and testimony of his good leadership: “Israel served the LORD all the days of Joshua.”

Deborah is another great example of a leader called to steward the times she lived in to represent God’s kingdom interests. She was called forth as a deliverer to the people of God, to move them out from under the oppression of the enemy into freedom and liberty. In triumph she sang: “When the princes in Israel take the lead, when the people willingly offer themselves—praise the LORD! … Villagers in Israel would not fight; they held back until I, Deborah, arose, until I arose, a mother in Israel” (Judg. 5:2,7).

Many times, in Scripture, Daniel was referred to as a “man greatly beloved” because of his faithful service to God while living under enemy rule. Daniel stewarded the purposes of God for his times, as an intercessor in communication with the kingdom realm, and as a prophet, he stewarded significant revelations given for a future generation at the end of the age.

“I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors: You have given me wisdom and power, you have made known to me what we asked of you” (Dan. 2:23),

Every objective of God to be accomplished in every dispensation is a vital and crucial part of His unfolding plan. Each part causes momentum to build, moving history forward toward the day of completion, at the climax of times, at the end of the age.

The prophets of Israel were called forth as stewards of the oracles of God and as witnesses of the living God. They lived supernatural lives functioning in gifts and abilities sourced in another realm. Let’s examine the biblical world view of stewardship: “Utilizing and managing all resources God provides for the glory of God and the betterment of His creation” (Holman Bible).

Wikipedia describes, “the central essence of a biblical worldview of stewardship is managing everything God brings into the believer’s life in a manner that honors God and impacts eternity.”

The High Calling of God

God will have an administration suitable for this dispensation, tailored and equipped to meet the challenges of these times—this is our destiny. It is, therefore, necessary to God’s interests that we:

— Understand the dynamics of the times.

— Understand God’s intentions for the times.

— Know the framework and boundaries of the times and the enemy’s limits in the times (Dan. 7:25).

— Receive directions and tactical assignments to implement the plan of God.

For this present hour, in the culmination of history, the people prepared and brought forth to serve God will be a unique people, bold and courageous, bearing the likeness of the Lion of Judah. They will have walked through the fires and have not been burned and through the waters and have not drowned (Isa. 43:2).

This army coming forth will stand resolute, tethered to the Lord by humility and the fear of the Lord. They are friends of God—the glorious vanguard moving ahead as one man to prepare the way of the Lord in union with Him.

They are called forth to the stewardship of a unique season of fullness, when everything has matured to its fullness—kindness, goodness, love and compassion, hate, evil and deception. Ephesians 1:7a-10a (NASB 1995) is written for these times and these people:

“… according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth.”

The word “administration” in this passage, translated as “dispensation” is oikonomia, spoken of earlier also as stewardship in other translations (Col. 1:25). In the context of this passage, it is used to refer to God’s administration or stewardship of a certain period of history to which Paul described as “the fulness of times.”

By their union with Christ, this passage also takes into account the Lord’s servants appointed to this administration. They carry out His will and execute His campaign with authority, working to bring to union everything in Christ.

Regarding this stewardship, the New International Version puts it this way, “… to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment,” and the English Standard Version describes it as “… a plan for the fullness of time.”

The summing up in these times in Christ means to bring everything under one headin a time when things have come to a head. Jesus is the head—the people of God are now growing up to the head, to the stature of the fullness of Christ, according to Ephesians 4:13.

The body of Christ is being separated from everything opposed to God’s mind and heart, where He alone steps forward to administrate His kingdom as Lord … and this through a people fully submitted to His lordship and fully yielded to Him.
