29 Satisfying Gradient Painting Techniques

29 SATISFYING GRADIENT PAINTING TECHNIQUES

CREATIVE ART IDEAS

We prepared a new video full of art ideas for beginners. Besides, we can say that this video is oddly satisfying. I love satisfying videos because they help to reduce stress levels and anxiety. A lot of people describe these videos as a ‘’brain massage’’. These videos are very meditative and make us more happy and relaxed.
You will learn how to draw various objects and animals like feathers, butterflies, various leaves and a lot more!
Try a cool drawing technique called Zentangle art to create beautiful birthday cards for your friends and family. Zentangle as a type of art consists of a series of repetitive strokes — straight lines, curves, and dots drawn on a small square of paper. You do not have to be an artist to enjoy the benefits of Zentangle art, just feel the benefits of a meditative ritual of the creative process.
Some kinds of ornament drawings will bring you back to your school days but we have a few surprises for you! You will love to draw animals after watching the video as we do it in incredible ways that will impress everybody around you! One-line animals and animals made from numbers and circles will be a cool way to prank your friends and entertain kids or you may even start drawing challenges during your party!

ASK This Old House | Custom Screen Door, Paint Trim (S18 E18) FULL EPISODE

Ross tests out some new smart lighting configurations; Tom helps a homeowner build a custom screen door to fit her unique front entryway; Richard gives some general advice on maintaining a washing machine; Mauro teaches a homeowner some techniques to paint old 1960s wood trim with a varnish on it.

SUBSCRIBE to This Old House: http://bit.ly/SubscribeThisOldHouse.

Ross demonstrated the Aurora Smart Bulb Dimmer, which is designed to work with Philips Hue light bulbs and is manufactured by Lutron.

To build the frame of the door, Tom used 5/4” x 8” x 8’ straight grain fir. For exterior doors, Tom finds it very important to prevent the wood from warping in any direction, which is why he recommended using a combination of a half lap and a floating tenon for the joinery. To make those cuts, he used a Domino Joiner, which is manufactured by Festool and a Jobsite Saw Pro, which is manufactured by SawStop.

To trim the door to size, Tom used a TS 55 circular saw, which is also manufactured by Festool.

The corner accent brackets and the antique hardware were either found or salvaged by the homeowner, but similar products can be found online, at hardware stores, at specialty woodworking shops, or antique sales/salvage yards. The hinges and the screen door compressor can both be bought at home centers. In this case, Tom used heavy duty screen door hardware to handle the weight of the large door, and two compressors on the top and bottom of the door to control the swing of the heavy door and to ensure it closed tightly.

The screening material they used for the door can be found at any home center. Tom recommends using clamps to slightly bow the door during the installation of the screen to ensure a tight fit. To secure the trim pieces over the screen, Tom used a 20V Max Cordless Bradnailer, which is manufactured by Dewalt.

Braided stainless steel washing machine hoses can be found at home centers.

The timed washing machine valve that only keeps pressure on the hoses for a set period of time is the Time Out Automatic Shutoff Valve, manufactured by Keeney Manufacturing Company.

The washing machine valve that only operates when it senses a current draw from the washer is the IntelliFlow, manufactured by Watts.

Both of these valves can be ordered online or from a specialty plumbing supplier.

Mauro explained that in rooms with wood trim that has a finish applied to it, it’s helpful to lightly sand the surface using 220 grit sandpaper to give the paint more to adhere to. For this project, he used a ProSand Contour Sanding Sponge, which is manufactured by Norton Abrasives.

To ensure a solid base for the paint, Mauro primed the trim with Stix Waterborne Bonding Primer, which is manufactured by INSL-X. Mauro decided to do two coats of primer in this case, since he thought it was more important to ensure a strong, even base for the paint.

The other materials Mauro used to paint the trim, including the drop cloths, brushes, painter’s tape, and buckets, can all be found at home centers and paint supply stores.

15 Brilliant Art Ideas With Spray Paint

15 BRILLIANT ART IDEAS WITH SPRAY PAINT

INCREDIBLE SPRAY PAINT TUTORIALS

Today we share with you a cool drawing technique that you will totally love! Spray paint art is a very cool kind of art that will let you create real masterpieces in minutes. You can create truly surreal landscapes and even other planets that will look great! You can decorate your room with various posters or even create gifts for your friends. Moreover, you won’t need any special instrument, you can use can lids, paper plate, and a liner.
Start from composing your painting on a sheet of paper by laying the paper plates that you will turn into planets. Spray several paint colors over the plates. Next, remove the plates and paint planets in various colors. One more cool thing is that you can create various textures. Spray a layer of paint on a piece of paper and place a piece of newspaper over it while the paint is still wet. Run your hand across the newspaper and remove it. You will have a cool texture on your picture.
One more cool ideas are to make any shape on your picture in 5 minutes. Print any shape or picture on a paper and cut it out. Create any background, for example, the galaxy or simply sky with stars. Place your cut-out shape and spray black paint over it. But you should protect your beautiful background from the black paint. Remove the sheet of paper and add any detail you like. Watch the video till the end and you will find more step by step spray paint tutorials!

ASK This Old House | Drafty Door, Clean Paintbrushes (S16 E25) FULL EPISODE

Tom uses multiple techniques to make a drafty door weathertight; Mauro demonstrates the most effective way to clean a paintbrush; Roger and Jenn test out a variety of battery-operated lawn tools.

SUBSCRIBE to This Old House: http://bit.ly/SubscribeThisOldHouse.

To fix the door, Tom addressed multiple issues: the door was out of plumb, it was too short, and it was drafty.

To make the door plumb, Tom used a plumb bob, a chalk line, a chisel, and a shoulder plane. These can be found at home centers. It’s also possible to use power tools to shave back the jamb, but hand tools will be required at the top and bottom of the door where those tools wouldn’t fit.

The tools Tom used to lengthen the door, including the wood, clamps, wood glue, and hammer, can be found at home centers.

Tom also improved the weather stripping to make the door more weathertight. The automatic door bottom, the corner-groove weather stripping, and the corner-grooving tool and associated bits are all manufactured by Conservation Technology.

How to Clean Paintbrushes Like a Pro

Mauro suggests that the best way to clean a paintbrush is to be as gentle as possible. He recommends using warm water, a little bit of soap, and your fingers to try to clean the paintbrush.

If that does not work, a scrub pad can be used to gently brush off residue. Mauro used Scotch-Brite Heavy Duty Scouring Pads, manufactured by 3M. These can be found at home centers, department stores, and grocery stores.

Testing Battery Powered Yard Tools

Roger and Jenn determined that battery-powered tools work well for small- to medium-sized yards. While these tools were effective compared to gas tools, one setback they noticed is that batteries are not interchangeable across different brands of tools, and most companies do not make full lines of battery-powered yard tools. This means that multiple batteries are required in order to make the full switch from gas to battery.

Roger and Jenn saw a variety of tools manufactured by Husqvarna, Oregon, and Greenworks.

The battery-powered, ride-on lawnmower is manufactured by Ryobi.
