The Church Has Forgotten That Sex Is Holy — Charisma Magazine

Blood covenant is a sacred and holy covenant. We are in a blood covenant with Almighty God. The church today yearns for power, but power is in holiness. We need to open our hearts once again to the cleansing and purging of the Lord.

What is the difference between that which is holy and that which is common? Common is that which is regular, what we just do all the time without much regard, or something we take for granted.

Holy is that which is separate, set aside, special or precious, very separate. We have taken that which is holy and made it common.

God is wanting to restore the power, but we must walk holy before Him. We have holy matrimony, but is it holy or common?

Today we unite people in common matrimony; it’s not holy, and it’s not special in that we no longer reserve ourselves sexually for one person. Instead, we make what God has made special “common.”

This is a lot to consider in this day and age. We have forgotten sex is holy.

For more on how the church must return to a biblical view of sex, listen to Setting the Captives Free on the Charisma Podcast Network. Torch1

Avoid This One Critical Mistake to Advance in Your Calling — Charisma Magazine

[ad_1]

“Where do we go from here?”

The question has become a hot topic for many leaders, teachers, pastors, business owners and people from all walks of life.

Most are struggling in the aftermath of our recent traumatic societal upheavals in the realms of politics, health, church, affecting families, businesses and individuals. Is it just too much?

In the aftermath, many plans have been scrapped or scrambled and people are searching for firm footing to know how to live, work and move forward in this new time.

Whatever your situation, I find that when you need clarity, this is the time to go back to the calling of God on your life. What has the Lord spoken over you? Called you to do? Who has He called you to be as a son or daughter of God?

God has not been caught off guard. He saw all this coming. He is faithful to empower you to fulfill the call.

Take a breath and remember the things you set out to do when you answered His call.

It’s mission-critical to reconnect with your calling from God.

The mistake most people make is to rush in to put things together in their own strength. This never works for long. To refuse to reconnect is to reject the anointing and power God offers to fulfill the calling.

Your calling is still good, even though the route may need to be updated. He has new things for you to consider in order to move forward that weren’t possible before.

Stay in the dialogue with the Lord. He is ready to unfold some answers to your questions and provide all that you need to move forward—from right here—this very moment.

We know Moses had serious doubts about being able to fulfill God’s call on his life to deliver the Israelites from 400 years of oppression. Big calls provoke big questions! Quaking in his sandals, Moses protested to God:

— “What if they don’t believe me?”

— “I’m not a speaker!”

— “Choose someone else!”

Yet, over 40 miracles were performed through Moses in the time that followed his reluctant agreement to fulfill the call. From the healing of leprosy to the opening of a path through the Red Sea, from raining down quail to feed the hungry to bread falling from heaven for dinner, from bringing water from a rock to stopping a plague, the list trails on testifying to God’s goodness and empowerment for the mission.

Moses was worried in the beginning about being believed, about being able to speak with courage.

Consider God’s response to Moses’ objections in Exodus 4:11-12. I love how the Lord spoke, reminding Moses that God created his mouth in the first place.

“Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you must say” (Ex. 4:12).

When God called Moses to the mission of delivering the Israelites, God’s power was present to fulfill the call.

Is anything less available to you today as you regroup, find your footing and sign up again for that call God has extended to you? Your calling comes with empowerment to walk it out. This is true for the God-ordained lawyer, teacher, entrepreneur, blogger, preacher, trainer, coach, CEO and coffee barista.

“The eager expectation of the creation waits for the appearance of the sons of God” (Rom. 8:19).

Your time of revealing has come. Sign up again with the Lord to march in His power to fulfill your call and just let the world get a glimpse of the God-called man or woman who says yes and steps in with the empowerment of God.

We Are in a Resurgence of a New Jesus Movement — Charisma Magazine

The main thing about the Holy Spirit is that He makes Jesus real! In his book, Holy Spirit: The One Who Makes Jesus Real, Michael Koulianos explains that today we’re in a resurgence of a new Jesus movement, and everyone is being called to carry the power of Scripture. Experiencing the Holy Spirit will birth a fire for more of Jesus. Michael encourages people to cultivate fellowship with the Holy Spirit because without Him, you cannot encounter Jesus. The greatest miracle is in giving your life to Jesus, and when the Holy Spirit is real, miracles happen in your life.

Jennifer Eivaz gave her life to Jesus as a college freshman and has been living for Him ever since. Despite her faith, she had fears associated with her decision. To overcome that, Jennifer prayed, “Holy Spirit, teach me how to be your friend.” Those lessons taught her to be a glory carrier who has a vibrant relationship with the Holy Spirit. Her book, Glory Carriers, shows how you can enter into more intimate fellowship with the Spirit of God and experience miraculous encounters. You’ll learn how to step into the supernatural and follow God’s leading—and carry His glory to the darkest places and see His kingdom come.

Have you ever found yourself wanting something more? More purpose in your life? Resurrection power? More energy and answers? Jesus has a special invitation for you today. He has more for you. Jesus told Peter he would be a fisher of men, and that’s when He gave Peter, James and John new purpose. If you get close to Him, Jesus can speak to your purpose, too. In Luke 8:51-56, Jesus resurrected a little girl, which was a seemingly impossible situation. Jesus can come into your life, too, and breath life and resurrection into your situation. Even when our priorities are out of balance, Jesus can step in to resurrect what seemed dormant. Torch1

4 Ways Your Response Affects the Outcome of Your Prophetic Gift — Charisma Magazine

[ad_1]

As lovers of the prophetic, we get excited when we receive a prophetic word for ourselves, as we should. But what happens with that word after it is received and judged to be the word of the Lord? Our response to our prophetic words affects their outcome.

Providence

Sometimes our prophetic words come to pass by the providence of God’s hand. This sovereign outcome of a prophetic word is the exception rather than the rule though. If you are excitedly expecting the providence of God to dictate the unfolding of your destiny, you may get stuck in a holding pattern for quite a while.

Passivity

Sometimes we are excited to get a prophetic word that resonates with our spirits. But then we put the word “on the shelf” until we eventually forget about it or feel it has “expired.” A response of passivity with our prophetic words will rarely lead to us to experience their fulfillment.

Presumption

I have a sense that many of us have been kept from walking out our prophetic words for fear of presumption. To be presumptuous by the Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition is to “overstep due bounds.” We don’t want to be presumptuous with what God has said about us. That’s a valid concern, but I think our idea of presumption may not line up with the Bible’s picture of it. A misunderstanding of presumption can result in an unwanted outcome of not moving at all.

Partnership

Because God’s value is relationship, His methodology is partnership. Partnering with your word is more than expectantly receiving it. It’s more than agreeing with it. Partnering requires action steps.

When God gives us prophetic words, He does not always tell us how it is going to happen. Without a clear plan from the Lord, we rely on inferred permission as sons and daughters to walk out what God expressed He intends for us. If you believe God has spoken to you, don’t be afraid to put some feet to your faith and take a step into partnership with that word.

To hear these outcomes unpacked with Scripture and examples, listen to Bethany Hicks on this episode of Prophetic Company on the Charisma Podcast Network. Torch1

Fire Starter Vadym Lebedych Unsplash

How the Lord Is Calling You to Be His Fire Starter — Charisma Magazine

Are you feeling lost right now? Struggling with what to do, where to go and how to engage in a life that creates a sense of joy and accomplishment?

Recently I found myself in a place where I did not appreciate or understand how I got there. We have been diverted to an unknown road that seems to have no end in sight. On this road our futures look bleak, preventing our view of both sides of the road to go very deep.

I realized this morning how my lens has been covered over with attitudes of fear and hatred, not necessarily ones that I own, but rather placed upon me to keep me bound.

I want to live again. I want to use my voice again without someone stifling it. I want my joy back, quality relationships and laughter that lightens my soul. I want to live out my divine purpose.

On the outside I feel trapped, unable to move. Yet on the inside there is a scream to let me go. Inside is a fire burning that I cannot keep contained any longer.

The Lord is saying, “I am making you a fire starter.” Fire starters create things, disrupt things and/or start things. They are the people who change the world, start movements and businesses, and innovate when others are content. They inspire others to be better, seek out situations where their impact can be maximized.

I believe God is sounding His alarm throughout the world to those who are willing to slip out of their slumber and begin creating new things for Him. He is calling forth disrupters who will start movements, innovate and inspire others to step into divine purposes igniting fires wherever they go.

Fire starters hear from heaven and declare truth that will result in repentance, deeper intimacy and divine positioning. Fire starters are those who ignite, breathe upon and fan the flames of revival, restoration, transformation and advancement of the kingdom of God. You are being summoned to become a fire starter.

Answer the call, for victory is yours. It is a now time to release the fire that is within you. Let it fan the flame of the greatest harvest we have ever seen. Listen to A New Level Awaits You on the Charisma Podcast Network now. Torch1
